Robby Road Steamer, who celebrates the release of his debut CD, "Okay Computer," is the brainchild of musician and comedian Rob Potylo. "It took off," he says, sitting on the first floor of the Hong Kong in Harvard Square with D'Amico after a Studio gig. "I was just making fun of all these things you see going on with hard-core and heavy metal - just the stupidest things would come out of these people's mouths, and they weren't trying to be funny."
On his album title's similarity to Radiohead's "OK Computer": "You know what? It wasn't done right the first time around, so let's bring it back to the USA where it belongs." |

Radiohead to release new song online for warchildmusic.com |

Radiohead are to release a new track for the launch of War Child's new music website on September 9.
The band will help kick off warchildmusic.com, which will sell downloads in aid of theWar Child’s charity global relief work.
The track will be a reworking of Go To Sleep, recorded live in Osaka and remixed by Jonny Greenwood. It will cost just 99p, with all profits going directly to helping children in the world’s most troubled regions.
Other exclusive tracks set to be come available include songs by Keane, a new song by Bloc Party and Lucky Jim.
The MD of warchildmusic.com, James Topham, said of the project: Every track – and we’re after everything from covers to acoustic versions, live recordings, alternative mixes, remixes or simply unreleased tunes - will be exclusive to Warchildmusic.
He added: This is an ongoing project which we’re sure will quickly become essential for artists and fans alike. Although the profits are going to charity, the site is all about music.
War Child was founded in 1993 in response to the conflict in the former Yugoslavia. The charity was responsible for the 1995 Brit Award-winning Help album – recorded by 20 top bands and artists – which raised more than Ł1.25 million for the children of Bosnia.

SonarSound event with Bodysong and Shynola videos |

During the three days of the event, SonarSound Sao Paulo presents a varied and complete video menues selection. The first day programme, focused only and exclusively to the brazilian audiovisual scene, will be the starting point introducing SonarCinema 04, the audiovisual contents area of Sónar 2004.
Bodysong. Director: Simon Pummell. 2003. 80 min.
This documentary compiled with bits of found footage from the most diverse sources -from medical images to ancestral rituals and war reports-, is the life history of the body, from birth to death. "Bodysong" is also a perfect example that eloquently defines a multimedia era which knows no limits: Pummell has simultaneously developed it as a documentary, web page www.bodysong.com and exposition. We also draw your attention to the excellent soundtrack, composed by Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead.
Shynola. 40 min.
The Shynola collective has revolutionised the world of computer animation for promos and adverts. Since the time they got together as a creative team they have won numerous awards for their inventive designs plus videos and marketing campaigns for Radiohead, U.N.K.L.E. and Athlete. What we have here is a retrospective of their most outstanding works.

The intro of Planet Telex is currently being used by the Danish equivalent of the BBC, DR, in their advertisment of their new news layout.
Packt Like Sardines In A Crushed Tin Box was featured briefly by way of the cooking pot bass line intro on Channel 4s (UK) Tuesday night showing of Nip/Tuck. |

Oulu Music Video Festival is held in Oulu, Finland from August the 25th to 29th. They have a special screening of Radiohead TV. Here's what they have to say about the event:
