The Who and Radiohead for V Festival

According to the albumvote.co.uk, The Who and Radiohead are being tipped as headliners for the 2006 V festival which takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire, over the weekend of 19-20 August.

According to Virtual Festivals, both bands are being strongly rumored as headliners with other appearances coming from James Blunt, Keane and Razorlight.

Radiohead and The Who are currently working on new studio album which will be released in the summer.
Radiohead gig makes way for orchestra rehearsal

British rockers Radiohead have had their request to perform two concerts in Chicago, Illinois' Millennium Park denied, so a local orchestra can rehearse.

Concert promoters acting on behalf of the Paranoid Android stars approached city bosses to propose two gigs at the park's Jay Pritzker Pavilion on 19 and 20 June, but were turned away because the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra is practicing on the second date.

Vernon Reid Covers Radiohead

Former Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid has covered Radiohead’s ‘National Anthem’ on his next record.

Reid has completed his second Vernon Reid & Masque album for Steve Vai’s Favoured Nations Records. It will be his third album outside Living Colour, the band which he still considers his “mothership”.

The new record ‘Other True Self’ will also feature covers of The Tony Williams Lifetime’s “Wild Life,” and Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence”.

The rest of the album will feature Reid originals as well as songs written by Masque members Leon Gruenbaum and Don McKenzie.
