what use is economic growth when the seas are rising to engulf you?

Radiohead set to write score for upcoming film
- March 18, 2006 07:54 CET Posted by Simon
After all the rumours flying about the place at christmas time about Radiohead writing the score for film A SCANNER DARKLY - it has now been confirmed that they are indeed providing the score - it is still unknown if there is to be any new material created or if older materiel will be used.

The film itself is by Richard Linklater, and has been described as "a cautionary tale of drug use based on the novel by Philip K. Dick and his own experiences." (Warner Independant Pictures)

If you want to see a trailer for the film, pop along to:

or http://wip.warnerbros.com/

Alternatively, take a look at this right here - not sure if somebody made this themselves or not though....
Sziget 2006
- March 10, 2006 16:41 CET Posted by Simon

Anyone going to be in Budapest, August 2006 - if so, make sure you catch Sziget 2006. Radiohead are set to play there, alongside Franz Ferdinand, Ministry, Robert Plant - and who could forget(?) such bands as Natacha Atlas, Enzo Avitabile, Manu Dibango, Wir Sind Helden and Sick of It All.......

If you want any further info on this latest of gigs - visit SZIGET.HU.

Adios for now :)
Radiohead to Headline V Festival
- March 06, 2006 06:26 CET Posted by Simon
Hi guys, I'm Simon and I'm going to be helping our host to keep the news updated - pleased to meetcha :)

Radiohead are to be joined by Morrisey as headliners of V Festival 2006 - unfortunatly tickets sold out REALLY quickly, and you'll be hard pushed to find them, let alone afford them....

If you can get them though, the event kicks off Saturday 19th August in Hylands Park, Staffordshire and you can also catch Faithless, Beck, Razorlight, Kasabian, Paul Weller, Hard Fi, Keane, Bloc Party, Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, The Charlatans, The Magic Numbers, Editors, The Ordinary Boys, Starsailor, The Go! Team, Rufus Wainwright, Sugababes, James Dean Bradfield, Kubb, Orson, The Feeling, Gavin De Graw.

This appearance also adds weight to the speculations that the next album will be soon released as surely it would make sense for the two to coincide? I certainly hope so anyway...
