Short television clips cut together. In Japan they have seen a nice hotel and the airport, and been told about Kiddyland and Yoyogi Park. On their first trip to North America they played a revolving stage in Toronto, where looking down for five seconds left them somewhere else. After a show in Boston two girls rushed up to one of them as he came off the tour bus, took him for the driver or a hanger-on, and asked him to get them the band's autographs.
The second album is half done, 10 or 12 songs tracked, with four weeks in July split between Oxford and Abbey Road; live you can get away with murder, but not on tape. The first American tour was a joke, the second a strain, and knowing each other well lets them put up with everybody freaking out. “Creep” now feels like covering a good song.
