Radiohead on The Ozone, BBC Two

The band are in Vancouver promoting The Bends in North America, a trip that means visiting what feels like a million radio stations and seeing nothing of anywhere. The film makes a small event of them actually getting to look at the city.

“Creep” is both the blessing and the bane, they say. It let them tour the world, which was fantastic, and it came on a first album, which is historically where bands go to die. Had it come third or fourth they think it would have been fine. The frustration was touring Pablo Honey through Asia knowing they already had the songs for something better.

They mention being in the middle of recording 22 new ones.

The last stretch is the origin story, told on a mountain, with the school music room as the only tolerable place to be, and the band's first name taken from the only day they could all rehearse.
