Radiohead on MTV
In Radiohead chat rooms nobody believed it was really them, and they failed a quiz on the colour of Jonny Greenwood's T-shirt in Canada.

Radiohead talk to MTV Japan two years after their last visit, with OK Computer weeks away and Ed O'Brien pulling faces. Since then they have all tried to get a life and failed, and spent less time in the studio than thinking about being in it. The title just stuck. Colin Greenwood jumped on it before recording began, so it's his fault, and his explanation is that everyone bought computers while making the record. They used them to go into Radiohead chat rooms, where nobody believed it was really them, and they failed a quiz on the colour of the T-shirt Jonny Greenwood wore in Canada.
“Paranoid Android” is a great way to confuse people, which is the idea. It was once nine minutes long, half of it a Jonny organ solo they dropped, and there will be no jamming it out live, since they did that for a month. They recorded its four sections in three goes, the last an ending they had never played, and Nigel Godrich cut the tape together while they had a party in the studio. Asked about a rumoured tour with U2, they say U2 sent over their tour dates for the year, but Radiohead's own are committed already: starting in Portugal and Spain, then Europe with, they say, only one British date, then America in the summer, and back in Japan in January.
