Thom Yorke on Blank On Blank

Asked, at nearly 38, about getting older, Thom Yorke says it is a bad idea to tell yourself you wish you were 20 again. Fronting the launch of a climate campaign, he says, was a mistake. He asked the organisers if they were sure, because “I fly around the world for my job, I don't have an electric car, I don't have solar panels on my roof yet”, and he was asked live on air what he was doing personally. Songs about how hard it is to be a rock star are no use to a taxi driver in LA. What matters is caring for each other, “love and all that heavy bollocks”.
