Radiohead on Sound Opinions

Another cut of Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood's visit to Chicago Public Radio, and it is almost entirely about poultry.

It begins with the two of them arguing over which should play the station's piano, said to be the finest in Chicago. Neither wants to go first, offers are made and withdrawn, and Yorke finally agrees to play something on condition that it is not a performance and the station may cut it up afterwards.

The rest is Greenwood's smallholding. He keeps 12 or 13 chickens a mile out of town and gets about four eggs a day, and the neighbours are learning to live with it, kept sweet with fresh eggs. The roosters start as soon as the sun clears the horizon, and sometimes at three in the morning while it is still dark, which he seems to find companionable.
