Thom Yorke on Adam Buxton
Buxton's view is that plain Thom Yorke is fine but not great, and the name needs jazzing up.
19 July 2009 · Adam Buxton · Thom Yorke
Adam Buxton stops Thom Yorke after his first set at Latitude with a list of stage names for a solo career, because plain Thom Yorke is fine and everything but not great, and needs jazzing up. Yorke was so nervous he could not feel his hands for the first two songs. Thomosexual might get him into trouble, he thinks, and a Tombola show, a wheel of songs to spin as Elvis Costello once did, would be tricky when he has so few songs. He claims never to have heard the Duke of York before. The one he likes is Yorkie Fruit and Nut.
