Thom Yorke on BBC Radio 1

Backstage at BBC Radio 1, Thom Yorke introduces Flying Lotus, who has just been handed an award by him and is still shaking from the stage. Then someone in the room, the tape does not show whether Yorke or the presenter, says Flying Lotus's record makes total sense in Los Angeles, “it's like your head opening up”, and that it is fascinating people in Britain get it so much, because it is cold and wet here. Flying Lotus agrees that there is something about the British cold that people back home don't get. He did not get Burial's Untrue, he says, until maybe his second trip to Britain, driving through London in the rain, when it suddenly made sense.
