Jonny Greenwood on Polskie Radio

Jonny Greenwood answers in English for a Polskie Radio report on his album with Krzysztof Penderecki and the Polish orchestra AUKSO. “I can't quite believe that I went from carrying Penderecki scores and CDs around on tour with Radiohead on my first few tours,” he says, and there is talk of music for electric guitar and a small string group next year.

He ends his own piece, “Popcorn Superhet Receiver”, with the players shaking seeds, and points out that a bow is a piece of a tree anyway. He hasn't given the record to the rest of Radiohead, who will “probably be heckling, booing and throwing things”.
