The Smile on WFPK

Tom Skinner takes over an hour of WFPK with live recordings of The Smile from a year on tour, with songs from both of that year's albums, Wall of Eyes and Cutouts. He opens with “Don't Get Me Started” from Rome in June, and later plays “Friend of a Friend” and “Colours Fly” from Berlin.

“Eyes & Mouth” and “Bodies Laughing” had been around in some form since the first tour in 2022. Taking the live approach into the studio was not straightforward, so they had to rethink how they played the songs, which in turn changed how they relearned them for the stage.
