Corrected Com Lag pressing goes abroad without the “Skttrbrain” hiss

The copies of Com Lag (2plus2isfive) now reaching shops outside Japan appear to be a new Japanese pressing, without the hiss that spoiled Four Tet's “Skttrbrain” remix on the first one.
The EP came out in Japan on 24 March on EMI Toshiba (TOCP66280). A week later At Ease reported an annoying hiss running through “Skttrbrain”, track seven of ten, the first burst of it three seconds in. “Skttrbrain” is Four Tet's remix of “Scatterbrain”, first issued as a B-side of “2+2=5”.
On 5 April sources at Toshiba-EMI said the discs would not be recalled, so the faulty pressing would stay as limited as it was, and the Australian edition was expected to come without the error. Chris Ott's review in Pitchfork that day said the same.
Com Lag was meant for Japan only. It is now out or due in Canada, Australia, Mexico (through EMI Music Mexico), New Zealand, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. Capitol Records Canada had announced it for 13 April, but the imports needed more time because of the mastering error, and the new pressing reaches Canadian shops on 4 May.
