Radiohead played “These Are My Twisted Words” live for the first time on Friday 21 August, at the top of the first encore of their headline set at the Frequency festival in St. Pölten. It was their first show in Austria.

The song had been out for four days. The band gave it away as a free download from their website on Monday, and Jonny Greenwood's post said it was one of the first things finished in the new recording sessions. There's other stuff in various states of completion, but this is one we've been practising, and which we'll probably play at this summer's concerts.3

Chris Todd, reviewing the night for Clash, says the crowd at Green Park fell quiet for the opening “15 Step”. The screens kept warning of a thunderstorm that held off until Saturday.

Later in the first encore came “(Nice Dream)”, which the band had not played since Sydney in April 2004.
