Thom Yorke remixes Clark's “Isolation Theme”

Thom Yorke has remixed “Isolation Theme” from Clark's score for Daniel Isn't Real, a psychological thriller from 2019, and it is out today on Deutsche Grammophon. He simplified the piece, he says, into disrupted waveforms, and was surprised how frightening it became.

Clark began the score at about the time he was asked to remix Yorke's “Not The News”, so he calls it a neat circularity that Yorke's remix now closes an expanded edition of the score. That edition is due on 6 December, with two more pieces from the sessions.

I was surprised how well the midi translated to his remix. He got such a good pure electronic tone out of it.
