Thom Yorke to tour New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and Japan alone

Thom Yorke has announced Thom Yorke: Everything, 15 solo shows this autumn that open at Wolfbrook Arena in Christchurch on 23 October and end at ROHM Theatre Kyoto on 26 November. He posted the news today on his social accounts and on W.A.S.T.E., Radiohead's news and merchandise site. I will be alone on stage trying a new kind of solo show thing playing versions of songs from my recent and not so recent past.¹

These are Yorke's first solo shows in New Zealand, where Radiohead last played at Vector Arena in Auckland in November 2012. Creativeman, the Japanese promoter, bills the Japanese leg as his first solo tour of the country.

His earlier solo tours had other musicians with him, most recently the Tomorrow's Modern Boxes shows, which last went out in 2019. On Friday he trailed this one with a short clip of himself playing Radiohead's “Bloom” alone, on piano with effects.
