Radiohead opened their 2006 British tour in Blackpool's Empress Ballroom.

On 12 May 2006 they were back in the ballroom for the first time since 7 September 1997, with six unreleased songs in a 22-song set. “House of Cards” drew a brief clap-along, and on “Arpeggi” Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and Ed O'Brien all played guitar.
