Ed O'Brien's solo album began as a Radiohead song that went wrong.

When the band met in September 2014 to start A Moon Shaped Pool, O'Brien suggested his songs first. They spent a day on one called “Banksters”, and by evening he knew it was wrong. His songs became Earth, released as EOB on 17 April 2020, produced by Flood and begun in mid-Wales in October 2017.
