Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood played “Present Tense” to a drum machine for the 2016 Mercury Prize.
Paul Thomas Anderson filmed the two of them in Tarzana, California, with a Roland CR-78, and Radiohead put it out on 15 September 2016, the night of the ceremony. The band did not go, so the film stood in for a live performance. Skepta won.
