Radiohead's 2001 Oxford homecoming ended with “Creep”, because a keyboard died.
On 7 July 2001 Thom Yorke's keyboard gave up a few chords into “Motion Picture Soundtrack” in the third encore. “It's kaputt, ja?” he said, and the whole band came back for “Creep”, unplayed since June 1998, with about 40,000 people singing in the rain.
