Radiohead release their debut EP Drill on Parlophone
Drill, Radiohead's four-track debut EP, is out on Parlophone today on CD, twelve-inch and cassette, and the band are on the road now on their first tour. The press release that announced both on 22 April, from the publicists Hall or Nothing, calls them noisy guitar pop from Oxford.
“Prove Yourself”, the title Music Week lists the record under, leads the EP, with “Stupid Car”, “You” and “Thinking About You” behind it. The first two are new recordings; “You” and “Thinking About You” come from the band's Manic Hedgehog demo. Drill was recorded at Courtyard Studio in Oxfordshire, produced and engineered by Chris Hufford and mixed by Timm Baldwin.
The press release also says they are already working on new tracks with Sean Slade and Paul Q. Kolderie, whose credits include Dinosaur Jr and Throwing Muses.
