Students at the University of California, Berkeley can take a course on Radiohead in the spring 2004 semester. Listed as Music 98/198, Appreciating Modern Pop Art Music Through Radiohead, it runs under the Democratic Education at Cal programme, which lets students start their own classes on subjects the regular departments do not cover.
The organisers say the class will go through all six Radiohead albums and look closely at how the lyrics, music, videos and artwork connect, to gain a deeper appreciation of the band and of popular music as an art form.
