Björk has been talking about Thom Yorke to the German magazine Musikexpress, in its September 2004 issue. The interviewer put it to her that Yorke credits their duet on Selmasongs with teaching him not to fall into an emotional trap when singing an emotional song.
She says she is flattered, and that she feels she learned something close to the opposite from him.
I was very impressed that he took a full week to record the song although it is only three minutes long.

She puts it down to a band habit of waiting for the moment when everyone is at their best at once, where she is used to working alone and doubts that 50 takes improve anything.
