Radiohead interviewed for the Scott Walker film 30 Century Man

first posted on Treefingers by Miro · rewritten for the archive

Radiohead are among the musicians interviewed by Stephen Kijak, who made Cinemania, for 30 Century Man: The Music of Scott Walker, a documentary about the singer and the artists his work has shaped. It is shot on DV by Grant Gee, who made the Radiohead film Meeting People Is Easy. David Bowie is executive producer, and Sting and Franz Ferdinand are also interviewed.

Walker doesn't do interviews, but his managers liked Kijak's pitch, and the film follows him at work on his new album rather than looking back over his career.

Kijak tells Indiewire he has been travelling with Scott Walker records on vinyl and using them to start the conversations.

The guys in Radiohead had never seen them on vinyl before, they were like kids.
