Radiohead end six days in the studio

written up for the archive

Radiohead finished a six-day session in the studio on Tuesday, Thom Yorke wrote on Dead Air Space, the band's blog on radiohead.com, which opened last week as the session began. They start again in a couple of weeks. six days straight from 11 till late is enough for an old man like me.2

On the last day the speakers were cracking. colins i s playing sleaz bass on mornin' mi lord.. its sounds very heavy. err phat. ..like a freight train...2 Ed O'Brien has named two songs in progress, Drowned in Sound reports today: “Mornin' m' Lud” (an earlier post on the blog spelled it “mornin' m'lud”) and “Pigsee”.

On 21 August Yorke wrote that the band were rethinking “Suit Don't Fit”, and that Morrissey had stayed in the room he was sleeping in, for three months to Radiohead's six days. The lyrics are proving hard to finish, he says, with waves of self-doubt that he calls a necessary part of the process.
