Radiohead will tour next year from May to probably the end of 2008, with plenty of time off in between, Bryce Edge of Courtyard Management told Billboard.com on 18 October. In the same interview he called the reports of more than 1.2 million In Rainbows sales exaggerated.

No dates or cities have been given yet. Edge is talking to the band's agents about a schedule that suits the band and pays its way. The venues will be somewhat larger than in 2006, when Radiohead played 38 shows. That run, Edge says, was done for creative reasons, not for the money.

A year ago Thom Yorke told the Guardian about the carbon cost of fans driving to big outdoor shows. He likes to do shows, but the whole business of schlepping around the world is not top of his list of favorite things to do1, Edge says of him. They're not road dogs. They never have been.1
