BBC Radio 4 turns OK Computer into an hour-long play
OK Computer is BBC Radio 4's Friday Play this week, on air at 9pm on Friday 19 October. The hour of drama is by Joel Horwood, Chris Perkins, Al Smith and Chris Thorpe. The BBC bills it as a celebration of the 1997 album, with themes drawn from every song on it.
Tom Brooke plays the lead, Paul, with Liz White, Federay Holmes and Pieter Lawman in the cast. Thorpe plays the Boss, and Lu Kemp produces.
Paul wakes in a hospital in Berlin with no memory of who he is or where he comes from. Once his life has been pieced together he is sent home to Britain and back into it, haunted by the suspicion that it is not his real life at all.
