The eight May shows, confirmed on 12 February, are all at outdoor amphitheatres and run through the South and the Midwest to Dallas on 18 May. W.A.S.T.E., the band's fan club and mail-order, had the first tickets in a pre-sale from Valentine's Day, before general sale on 16 February.
Liars were named on 24 March, and have dropped two May dates in Britain to take the job.
In Tampa, where the band have never played, reserved seats at the Ford Amphitheatre are $55 and $45 and the lawn $32.50. Creative Loafing was asking its readers in January whether this would be the debut.
The shape of the year was set on 9 January, when Nasty Little Man, the band's publicists, named 22 cities in the US and Canada and said the tour would come in two legs, either side of the summer in Britain and Europe. Europe runs from two nights in Dublin on 6 and 7 June to Berlin on 8 July. The other 14 North American cities (New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Santa Barbara among them) are promised for August, with dates and venues still to come.
