Ed O'Brien: “We will be making an album”
Radiohead will make another album, Ed O'Brien tells NME in an interview reported this week. We were misquoted. We will be making an album!
2 He is answering the reports of Thom Yorke's interview with The Believer in August, which had Yorke ruling albums out. Yorke said none of the band wanted to go back into the “creative hoo-ha” of a long-play record, but his words as printed included “Not straight off”. Since then the band have put out two new songs as downloads, “Harry Patch (In Memory Of)” and “These Are My Twisted Words”.
They will record in a studio in the countryside, where the season gets into the music; Ed calls that typical Radiohead. We're going into the studio in winter. It's always miserable! Are we at the whim of the seasons? We are!

The band love the artwork and the physical record, and they all like vinyl; none of that is going away, he says. Ed still buys CDs. I got the Speech Debelle CD the other day. I nearly downloaded it from iTunes, but I thought, 'No, I want the physical thing.'
