Thom Yorke coaches the USC marching band in a Grammys rehearsal film

The USC Trojan Marching Band has put a film of its rehearsals with Radiohead on its YouTube channel. In it, by Clash's account, Thom Yorke tells the drummers their snare drums are too busy¹, then sets a run-through of “15 Step” going.

The film runs just under nine minutes. Brett Padelford produced and edited it for the marching band.

Radiohead played “15 Step” with the marching band on the Grammys broadcast from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 8 February, the night In Rainbows won best alternative music album. Four days later Yorke put the performance on Dead Air Space, the band's blog, with a note of thanks. a big thank you to both Dr David Campbell for arranging and the USC Marching Band for working so hard with us to get this right.. we had such a laugh.⁴
