The festival has not run since 2010, when Vampire Weekend and The National played. The acts announced so far include John Cale and Television, with more to come. Ryan Reed, announcing the bill for Glide, rates it more adventurous than the last one, with Oneohtrix Point Never, Tim Hecker, Julia Holter and Colin Stetson on it. Big Ears is run by AC Entertainment, the company behind Bonnaroo.
In the Reich tribute Ensemble Signal play Music for 18 Musicians and Radio Rewrite, and So Percussion play Drumming. Radio Rewrite is built on “Everything in Its Right Place” and “Jigsaw Falling into Place” and had its premiere in London in March. It goes back to Reich hearing Greenwood play Electric Counterpoint in Krakow in 2011.
