Philip Selway says Radiohead will start working together again in about a month. The band have decided the time is right to make music and have booked their first week together to see how it goes, he tells David Renshaw of NME in this week's issue. He has no idea what the new record will sound like.

I have absolutely no idea. And that's what keeps us all there until the end.

Yesterday Radiohead filled their PolyFauna app with music nobody had heard.

A line about leaving things behind in “Turning It Inside Out”, from Selway's second solo album, Weatherhouse, due on 6 October, had Renshaw asking whether it hinted at trouble in the band. Frustrations come with any close working relationship, Selway says, and the song is no warning signal.

It's fairly natural for those thoughts to cross your mind, but there's a song and then there's the reality of your life.

Around the same time he told Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC 6 Music that the five have had 18 months away, and will bring what they did in that time back to the band as new energy. There's always that sense that our best record is still to come.3
