Thom Yorke DJs the London climate march from a Greenpeace float
Thom Yorke played a DJ set from Greenpeace UK's float at the People's March for Climate in London on Sunday 29 November, as tens of thousands walked through the city. Greenpeace's clips show him playing a Caribou record into a strong wind on a float dressed as the Arctic, polar bear and all, and leaping out of his skin when someone beside him rings a bell.
The march came on the eve of the United Nations climate conference, which opens in Paris on Monday. Last week Yorke talked over the climate and his own carbon footprint with George Monbiot in a conversation for Télérama. On Friday he signed an open letter, as Björk did, urging the leaders gathering in Paris to agree on how severe climate change has become.
