Jonny Greenwood to score Paul Thomas Anderson's 1950s fashion drama
Jonny Greenwood is writing the music for Paul Thomas Anderson's next film, Focus Features said as shooting began in the UK on Wednesday 1 February. Daniel Day-Lewis stars. He played the lead in There Will Be Blood (2007), the first Anderson film Greenwood scored, so ten years on the three of them are making a film together again.
Greenwood has since scored The Master (2012) and Inherent Vice (2014) for Anderson, and last May the director made Radiohead's video for “Daydreaming”.
The film has no title yet. Anderson wrote it, and it is set in the couture world of 1950s London, around a dressmaker who will not compromise and whose clients are royalty and high society.
