Jonny Greenwood to score Lynne Ramsay's You Were Never Really Here

Jonny Greenwood is writing the score for Lynne Ramsay's new film, You Were Never Really Here, a spokesperson has confirmed to The Playlist. Ramsay, who made Ratcatcher and Morvern Callar, has not had a film out since We Need to Talk About Kevin in 2011, and Greenwood scored that one too.

The new film adapts Jonathan Ames's novella of the same name, and it is in competition at the Cannes Film Festival, which opens on 17 May. Joaquin Phoenix, working with Ramsay for the first time, plays a war veteran who rescues a young girl from sex traffickers.
