Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich pay tribute to Scott Walker

Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich paid tribute to Scott Walker after his death was announced on Monday. On his way to the first day of recording OK Computer, Godrich passed Walker cycling along Chiswick High Street, and when he got to the studio Yorke was holding a copy of Scott 4.

So very sad to hear that Scott Walker has passed away, he was a huge influence on Radiohead and myself, showing me how i could use my voice and words.

Radiohead once called “Creep” their Scott Walker song. Yorke met him only once, at Meltdown, and remembers a kind, gentle outsider.
