Phil Selway calls 2020 “the year away from Radiohead”

Radiohead will spend 2020 apart, Phil Selway has told NME's Andrew Trendell. There are always conversations going on, but we've always got other projects going on. This is kind of the year away from Radiohead, but we will pick that up again.¹

Selway's own year goes on writing and recording his third solo album. The others are busy too. Thom Yorke has followed the Suspiria score with ANIMA, Ed O'Brien has been sharing songs from his coming album as EOB, and Jonny Greenwood has a classical label, Octatonic Records. A Moon Shaped Pool, in 2016, is still the latest Radiohead album.

Asked whether 2021 would bring the band back, Selway would go no further. We'll see. We're talking.¹
