Jonny Greenwood and Dudu Tassa to play Jarak Qaribak at Le Guess Who?

Le Guess Who? in Utrecht has booked Dudu Tassa and Jonny Greenwood to play Jarak Qaribak at its sixteenth edition, from 9 to 12 November, in the first lineup it announced today.

Jarak Qaribak, the pair's album of Middle Eastern pop songs sung by guest singers, is out on World Circuit on 9 June. Pitchfork Music Festival London put the pair on its November bill in April, alongside Sleater-Kinney, and gave them Friday 10 November when the second single, “Ya Mughir al-Ghazala”, came out.

Tom Skinner, The Smile's drummer, is on the Utrecht bill too, in the programme Stereolab have curated. Greenwood has played the festival once before, with Junun, his project with Shye Ben Tzur and the Rajasthan Express, on 13 November 2016.
