BDS movement calls for a boycott of Radiohead's future shows
The BDS movement has asked concertgoers to boycott any future Radiohead shows, in a statement on its Instagram account that Exclaim! reported on 10 June. The band have not played live since 2018, and a tour is so far only rumoured.
Most of the statement is about Jonny Greenwood. It says he and the Israeli musician Dudu Tassa played Tel Aviv in May 2024 on the night Israeli forces attacked Palestinians in Rafah, and again in March 2025, and that Tassa has performed for Israeli soldiers. The movement's protests against the pair in the UK have already led them to call off two concerts there.
It dismisses Thom Yorke's statement of May on Israel and Gaza as attempted damage control, and then turns to the band. Radiohead has also crossed our nonviolent picket line, performing in Tel Aviv in 2017
1, it says. It has yet to apologize for doing so.
