Treefingers is back, 20 years after it went quiet

Screenshot: treefingers.comTreefingers is back online today, at the same address it has always had. The last news post went up in March 2006, and the old pages waited quietly after that, with the bear still on the front page and the guest book still open.
I brought it back because it had been too long. Other fan sites were closing, and the old Treefingers files were still here. It felt wrong to leave them in a drawer.
So I have put the site back together as a place to keep things. Every Radiohead song has its own page, with the story of how it came to be and a list of the nights it was played. Each record has a page about how it was made, its sleeve and what people said about it at the time. The live archive has a page for every show, and if you were in the crowd you can sign in as a member, mark the night as one of yours and leave a memory of it. The tour atlas follows the band around the world, tour by tour, and the band has a page for each of the five and the people around them.
The news is being written again too, and the years the desk missed are being filled back in.
The shoebox gathers what the old fan web left behind and what readers remember. The site museum keeps every old homepage running, so you can see the site as it looked in 2003. And the guest book is open again, so if you signed it the first time round, you are very welcome to sign it again.
If you were here back then, welcome back. If you are new, come in and stay a while.
