The Greatest Shindig of the World
Reported in 2006 as an early form of a 1995 B-side, from the tape the band made in the summer of 1990, when they were working as Shindig.
1990
the shindig tape
It is the seventh song on the tape the band made in the summer of 1990, when they were working as Shindig. The copy that went round online in 2006 has it as “The Greatest Shindig of the World”, and some lists shorten it to “The Greatest Shindig”.
The 2006 reports said that, reworked, it became “Maquiladora”, a B-side of “High and Dry” in 1995. “How Can You Be Sure?”, from the same tape, went the same way, onto the “Fake Plastic Trees” single that year.
