Ed O'Brien plays guitar on Asian Dub Foundation's next album

Ed O'Brien plays guitar on Asian Dub Foundation's next album, the band have announced on their website. Adrian Sherwood is producing it for release in 2003, and Sinead O'Connor sings on one of the new songs. Chandrasonic (Steve Chandra Savale), Asian Dub Foundation's guitarist, says he and O'Brien play together on two tracks. He's got some wild sounds I can tell you!¹

The friendship goes back to 10 December 1998, when both bands played Amnesty International's concert at Bercy for the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Chandrasonic says Radiohead have followed his band ever since, O'Brien most of all, and he praises them for the risks they take with their music and for Thom Yorke's singing. It was an honour to have Ed play on the album; we both have a great deal of admiration for each other's guitar styles.¹
