Chris Hopewell tells how his studio landed the “There There” video
first posted on Treefingers by Jaro · rewritten for the archive
Chris Hopewell, director of the “There There” video, tells XFM that his company got the job after Dilly Gent, who commissions the band's videos, came across its website while looking for small studios and rang. Not knowing who she was, they left the call for about four days, and said yes at once when they learned it was for Radiohead.
Hopewell has long admired the band's videos and the range of directors they choose. His company works in animation, in pixilation with live actors and in conventional film, and for “There There” he set out to make it like a short film that goes with the music rather than examining the music
