Radiohead give a signed OK Computer gold disc to a Samaritans auction

A signed, one-off Radiohead gold disc for OK Computer, marking the album's sales in the United States, is being auctioned at the Oxford Police Ball this evening, 5 September, in aid of the Samaritans. It comes from Phil Selway, who has been involved with the Samaritans for many years, and the rest of the band.

Dave Eustice, who organised the ball, told BBC News that the gift guarantees a large profit for the night's charities and gives the evening an extra buzz.

Oxford police area and its social club were delighted to be given this extremely generous gift by Phil (Selway) and the band.
