Radiohead play “2 + 2 = 5” for David Letterman

Radiohead were the musical guests on CBS's Late Show with David Letterman on Friday night and played “2 + 2 = 5”. CBS listed the actor Dustin Hoffman as the other guest. It came two days after the rescheduled show at Toronto's SkyDome closed the North American leg, and a QuickTime clip of the performance is going round online today.

For a while the band were booked on both of America's big late-night shows that night. On 25 September the desk reported them as guests on NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien, in the slot an hour after Letterman. By 10 October Radiohead had quietly dropped out of NBC's listings for Conan's guests.
