Bob Geldof has denied that he and Bono are planning a second Live Aid to help ease third-world debt, Reuters reports. The Sun had said on its front page that Tony Blair was backing “Live Aid II”, to be fronted by Robbie Williams, Oasis, Radiohead and Coldplay.

Geldof said the story only undermined the work of those concerned with poverty in Africa. If the Prime Minister wants to organise a Live Aid II, he added, good luck to him.
