Jonny Greenwood's guitar on “Paranoid Android” is number 34 in Guitar World's readers' poll of the 100 greatest guitar solos, between B.B. King's “The Thrill Is Gone” and Dimebag Darrell's “Cemetery Gates” with Pantera.
That puts Greenwood above Slash on “Sweet Child O' Mine” at number 37 and Jimmy Page's “Whole Lotta Love” at 38, though Page takes first place with “Stairway to Heaven”. The poll is not new: About.com's guitar pages, which run the list ten at a time, have carried it since at least March 2000.
