Clinic's Ade Blackburn says Radiohead have nothing left to prove

Supporting Radiohead was one of the easier jobs Clinic have had, their singer Ade Blackburn tells Tim vonHolten of Lawrence.com, because the band and the people around them are so relaxed.
I don't really think they've got anything to prove so there's no egos involved.

Clinic went on as obvious underdogs with nothing to lose, he says, and found Radiohead's audience intelligent and open to them rather than keen to see them off the stage. Asked about being called Radiohead's favourite band, he says the tour made Clinic's name, especially in America, but it only gets a band a foot in the door. That audience would soon drop them if they thought the music was poor.
He is less keen on the habit it gave critics of comparing the two groups. He thinks they sound nothing alike, and calls that kind of reference-spotting lazy.
