David Cameron owns up to liking Radiohead

first posted on Treefingers by Miro · rewritten for the archive

David Cameron, the Conservatives' policy co-ordinator, has owned up to a taste for Radiohead, Pulp and The Smiths, all well-known critics of his party. He finds their music strangely uplifting1.

Senior Tories at the party's conference in Bournemouth have been talking about their hobbies, first kisses and records in a film meant to make the party look more fun. Nicholas Soames, the defence spokesman, is a Dido fan, Liam Fox listens to the Scissor Sisters and Michael Ancram likes Meat Loaf.

The more depressing the better.
