Parlophone to box Radiohead's EMI albums, with a bear-shaped USB stick
Parlophone, Radiohead's former label at EMI, will release the albums the band made for it as a box set on 10 December. A limited 4GB USB stick moulded in the shape of the Radiohead bear carries the same seven albums as CD-quality WAV files. Parlophone bill it as the first stick to hold a major artist's whole back catalogue at CD quality.
We are particularly excited about the USB stick, which gives fans an easy and portable way to carry the box set

, says Miles Leonard for the label. The Hollywood Reporter adds that the Official Charts Company has recently changed its rules so that a USB stick can count towards the albums chart.
The box itself is seven CDs, the six studio albums and the live I Might Be Wrong, each in a new digipack sleeve with its original artwork. Put a disc in a computer and it streams footage not seen before; NME calls the system Digital Insert. A download of all seven albums as DRM-free MP3s at 320kbps completes the set. All three go on pre-order today at radioheadstore.com.
Radiohead are no longer with Parlophone. They put out In Rainbows themselves as a download from their own site on 10 October, and last week they signed with XL Recordings for its release on CD.
